Much of my work is inspired by nature and the elements, especially objects that are transient or subject to change.  Photographs such as this one form the basis of my designs or are used as a subtle background or serve as a stepping stone to the next concept.

 I arranged this cluster of shells and the composition reminded me of the fact that we are hidden with Christ in God … surrounded, kept, hidden, joined, held, safe.

I am interested in exploring the symbolism of visual metaphors; how the visual can convey something of the mystery of God as well as the beauty of the natural world.
