I have completed a number of commissions which vary greatly in style and content, depending upon the requirements of the individual clients. 

I have produced items from wall hangings to greetings cards; from wedding stationery to books for meditation; from corporate logos to contemplative PowerPoint presentations set to music: from fine art pieces to handmade paper products.

Aroma-of-Christ-cropped

The above large-scale “Aroma of Christ” painting was created one Sunday morning at my church. I led an “art wall” exercise in which the congregation collectively created this picture using handprint cut-outs (prayers were written on the back), paint and collage. The musical notes were created using people’s finger/thumbprints. The whole composition represents the people’s hands raised in worship and prayer … our prayers are as sweet-smelling incense to God (Revelation 5:8), we are the aroma of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:15) and we are all to imitate Christ in living a life of love, as a fragrant offering to God (Ephesians 5:2).

2008 – Graphic design work (posters and invitations) for the advertising campaign for a Christmas event, “Carols in the Park” which took place successfully for the first time in 2008 in Meanwood Park, Leeds.

2007/08/09 – A number of Powerpoint presentations created, set to meditative music and shown in various worship services and events.

2007 – Publicity material designed for a national Christian conference for women held in Leeds, hosting international guest speakers.

2007 – Logo designed for a management consultancy firm.

2007 – Logo designed for a new group meeting at Dewsbury Minster.

2007 – Series of contemplative handmade books produced, together with other symbolic items, for use during an interactive worship service at Meanwood Valley Baptist Church.

2007 – Designed and produced a collection of four textile hangings for a city-wide youth event hosted by Moortown Baptist Church to be held twice each year.

2007 – One of my designs came runner up in a national graphic design competition.

2007 – Discussions commenced with Dewsbury Minster for a series of textile hangings to decorate the columns in the nave area of the church (work still in progress).

2006 – Designed and produced a site-specific textile hanging for a domestic interior.

2006 – Logo designed for St James’s Church. An image was required for publicity material for a new event. Following purchase, the logo was reproduced on leaflets, invitations, letterheads and posters.

2004 – Designed and produced three textile hangings (each 1m wide x 2.5m long) for Meanwood Valley Baptist Church for a specific position in the main meeting area. A major visual intervention was required to improve the atmosphere of the room.

2004 – Designed and produced a range of wedding stationery ~ invitations, menus, place cards and ‘thank you’ cards.

2003 – Leaflet designed for a conference at St Winifred’s Church, Calverley, Leeds. A simple print process was used to enable the congregation to reproduce the design as required.
